This past week I was back at my home base in beautiful Brisbane, CA. That said, it has been a full week of being, quite literally, on the road. I had meetings in Berkeley, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Palo Alto, San Mateo. At least one meeting each day last week was with someone I haven’t seen in a while.
This reminded me of the importance of keeping in touch. I get busy, just like we all do (customer success isn’t a field for slackers!) It is easy to forget to do the friendly outreach that builds a little fun and human connection into the job, and keeps our network alive. I catch myself getting a little too dependent on email and social media. Last week was a great chance to have coffee with my team and customer success friends, and get caught up on their work and lives.
Do you make enough time for personal connections? How could that help your customer network, your friends, or your own mental health? Hit the road!
